Capacities and Limitations
Transactions
There is no theoretical limit to number of records the system can handle. Current limit (based upon disk space) is approximately 6 months storage, based on an average of 15,000 faxes per day.
Further, cascading a number of servers at one site in a Master-Slave configuration can expand the system with no limit. Sophistication of the system design allows Master to take care of transactions administration and control of Slave resources, while the Slaves are only responsible for low level operations of sending/receiving fax-voice. This boosts the ease of operation and moreover the flexibility of the system to cope with heavy traffic conditions.
There is no limit to the number of subscribers that can be supported by the GMS. Again, it is a function of the available disk space. With the available space in a standard configuration, about 200,000 to 300,000 subscribers can be supported.

Expandability
Individual GMS
The current limitations on the GMS are mostly a function of the available disk space. The system can be configured with a SCSI controller which would expand possible disk storage to 7 additional units. This would allow a significant increase in the size of the log files as well as the number of subscribers, which could be supported by the GMS.
